Soccer player sent off with Red Card for Touching wrong Ball

PORTSMOUTH defender Sam Sodje went nuts on Saturday as he was sent off for TWO low blows.

While the former Leeds United and Reading star’s red card was clearly justified, the nature of the offence must go down as one of the most bizarre ever.

Sodje, who has made seven appearances for Nigeria, was involved in a spat with Oldham midfielder Jose Baxter.

Baxter had earlier given the Latics the lead against rock bottom Pompey — a goal which sealed a 1-0 victory.

But the match was dominated by Sodje’s below-the-belt dismissal.
