Government has been ordered to reverse the ban on the sale of Tujilijili after it lost the case in which 11 manufacturers of the sachets had sued the State.
The courts have further ordered the State to pay damages in the heavy business losses the companies may have incurred arising from then Local Government & Housing Minister Prof. Nkandu Luo’s ban.
Tujilijili is a highly potent spirit manufactured in a small satchet some with an alcohol percentage of 49%.
Numerous Zambians died from over-consuming the liquor.
