A mother of one who started sprouting facial hair after the birth of her son 28 years ago says she feels sexier than ever after finally allowing it to grow into a full BEARD.
Mariam, 49, from Germany, has revealed that while her goatee has left her subject to cruel jibes including being told she deserved to be shot it has also made her more confident than ever.
Appearing on This Morning today, Mariam, who is also known as The Bearded Lady, told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "Some people have said that people like me should be shot.
"But on the other hand I have a lot of people that say it's courageous and inspired other women to be more free, so I have both sides."
Mariam, who doesn't give her surname, noticed thick hair beginning to grow on her face after she gave birth to her only child in 1985.

She then spent decades meticulously plucking out each hair, before finally deciding it was time to just to let it grow.
She said: "It was in 2008 that I decided to let it grow.. I decided to inform other women about it, and to write every day [in a blog] about what was happening and how I feel.
"I didn't feel brave.. it was more curiosity, what happens with me will I be more myself if I let it grow? And how will people react?
"Because there was this big fear that if I would show it that everybody would turn away from me and nobody would talk to me anymore."
Revealing her family's feelings, Mariam said: "My mum said: 'Do you have to shock people like this?'
"She was patient, but now she is getting a bit nervous and wants me to stop it. She doesn't like it and said I should become more 'normal'."
But single Mariam, who now enjoys showing people her facial hair in her very own circus act, says her decision to allow her beard to grow has given her an incredible confidence boost.
So much so she now even feels ready to find love again.
She said: "I think I'm more ready to have a relationship again."
Holly asked: "More ready because you're more confident than you ever have been? You said you feel this beard makes you feel incredibly sexy?"
Mariam replied: "Yes. I feel also more confident with myself and know myself better then when I was younger... I am happy."
