2 children die in high speed chase of ‘cheating’ husband

A HIGH speed chase of a suspected cheating husband on Friday night ended tragically when a Lusaka wife lost control of her vehicle and overturned, resulting in the death of her two children. Zambia Police deputy public relations officer Charity Munganga-Chanda confirmed the accident which happened at 20:30 hours at the junction of Godfrey Chitalu and Leopards Hill roads. She said the two children died on the spot while the woman and two others were critically injured and were admitted to the University Teaching Hospital. “The vehicle involved was a Suzuki Grand Vitara registration number ALC 2482. The person who was driving the vehicle was Makosana Dlamini Hazele. There were four other passengers; her two children Miselo, 8, Jolezya, 12, and her other relatives Frank Hazele, 25 and Nokonda Dlamini, 15,” Munganga-Chanda said. “The accident happened because the lady was speeding as she was chasing her husband whom she suspected was with his girlfriend. She was driving at high speed, she lost control and the vehicle overturned.
