Central African Republic cannibal drags Muslim off bus and eats his leg 'to avenge murder of his pregnant wife'

A cannibal calling himself ‘Mad Dog’ reportedly ate another man’s flesh in a horrifying mob attack. The incident happened in the Central African Republic (CAR) after a mob of about 20 youths dragged the victim off a bus, beat and stabbed him before setting him alight, it was reported.

It was as the dead man’s body lay in street, in the capital of Bangui, that Ouandja Magloire stepped forward and began to eat the flesh from one of his legs, it is claimed.

He then told a BBC reporter that he carried out in the attack in revenge for the murder of his pregnant wife, his sister-in-law and her baby.

Parts of the sickening attack appear to have been filmed on mobile phones, with footage now emerging online.
Sectarian violence in CAR has escalated to shocking new levels since rebels installed the country’s first Muslim leader last March.

There are fears that the country is on the verge of collapse, with aid agencies claiming CAR is facing a humanitarian crisis.

About 20 per cent of CAR’s 4.6million people have fled their homes and there are fears the country is on the brink of genocide.

Atrocities have been committed on both sides, with reports of hundreds of Christians and Muslims attacking each other with machetes.
