Dora Siliya should not be reading news on MUVI TV (letter to the editor)

Please allow me to air my views regarding politicians reading news on public or private media; this is in a case where Former Parliamentarian Hon Dora Siliya was given a space by MUVI TV on Tuesday the 31st December 2013 which was described as a gift to charity.
I think it is not ethical for a politician to be in the driving seat to cast news considering of the many contents which are found in most media reports.

Dora Siliya was reading news on MUVI TV last evening of 31st December 2013 – She is still a politician and indeed it is very unethical for her to be a journalist when she still has some political interests.

Precisely for argument sake, our African news at most times are about politicians saying this or that.

Objectively, Dora is a still a politician who other politicians don’t have a similar liking because if it was you being an opposition member you would not like to view her or what happens if there is a bad reporting about her in that piece of news it becomes totally difficulty for her to defend it.

Politicians are professionals in their own rights, the conducts of journalism does not marry to put the two together no wonder information bill is still a political theorem during campaigns by most politicians.

But look at it in a more objective manner because my points are that she can’t entertain other audiences may be only a fraction of interested parties in the society, the tenets of democracy requires that media houses are politically free. If you are looking at the opposition as well or what will become of news if other parties like President Sata and president HH or President Chipimo are not interested to listen to Dora?

We are all mature. we are all grown up people and we are all happy for one another. He is starting his label and we are in support of that, he is going international and working with Disturbing london and we are in support of that.

There is no beef, Wiz is part of the family legally, he is still signed even aside from contract some things are bigger than contract and money. EME and Wiz will continue.

She has won 300 medals at the events in the 50 meter walk, football kick and throw, softball hit and throw, bowling, billiards, cornhole, Frisbee bowl and Frisbee throw, shotput and discus.

Apple has been left red-faced again after a fresh security breach was discovered in the iPhone's software the day after it released an update fixing the last one.
The new vulnerability differs from the passcode bug fixed by the latest iOS update but it too gives unauthorised access to the phone's contacts and photos.

It emerged after the Silicon Valley firm released iOS 6.1.3, which put a stop to hackers who discovered a simple combination of button presses to bypass the phone's lock screen.

The new lock screen bug is slightly less complicated and involves ejecting the iPhone's SIM card while using its built-in voice controls to make a phone call.

The hack involves activating voice dialling mode from the lock screen and instructing the phone to make a call, then ejecting the SIM card at just the right moment.

That brings up the phone's dialling pad, from where the contacts list can be accessed and, via that list, the owner's photos.

Apple has yet to comment.

Local Artist and Career Woman Saboi Imboila has rubbished a report carried by the Zambia Intelligence News Website that she is 7 months Pregnant.
Saboi who recently obtained her Masters Degree in Law said she was astonished to read an article claiming that she was seven months pregnant when not.

Saboi laughed about it and described it as a joke and further went to encourage the author of an article to get facts rights before publishing such stories.

Saboi also bragged about her Masters Degree in Law she recently obtained, stating that she is currently committed to her work and will not have a fourth child in the next 2 years.

Below is what Saboi wrote on her facebook page….

“Saboi Imboela It seems like people never like it when im quiet. I just read on the Zambian Intelligence website that im 7 months pregnant kekekekekekekekekekekeke. I think some people are not only crazy but obsessed with i dont know what…. Im a good planner- always have been. In case the writer of that article doesnt know- I only got my masters degree last year and im now working in my dream job, as well as part-time lecturer at UNZA. What this means is that iam not getting pregnant for another 2 years because this time is for solidifying my career- Thats just me and the way i plan…. I mixed babies with school when i was at UNZA as a student- and it aint easy. So im NOT getting pregnant until i earn the time to go on 4 months maternity leave at work- and that happens after clocking 2 years in most jobs. So whoever that so-called concerned friend is i would like to say that im below 40 and i love children and I WILL CERTAINLY GET PREGNANT AGAIN- But just not now. So my friend- so sorry to disappoint u- but u are NOT having a niece or nephew anytime soon- at least NOT from me. IM A CAREER WOMAN- and i already have 3 kids so im NOT in a rush for baby number 4. Kim first ran into the man when he held the door for her so she could walk into a furniture showroom in Beverly Hills - just before midday today.

'As Kim walked in, the guy allegedly said, 'F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs' referring to the paparazzi,' TMZ reported.

The reality star told the young man that the N-word was not appropriate to use.

That's when the teenager turned on the TV star, screaming, 'F**k you bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut.'

A perturbed Kardashian then allegedly phoned Kanye, 36, to tell him what was happening.

Then, according to TMZ, 'when the guy realized Kanye was on the phonehe allegedly said, 'F**k you N****r.' - so that the rap star could hear.

However, just minutes later, an enraged Kanye arrived to meet up with Kim and learn face-to-face what had happened.

Kanye and Kim then stormed into the office and reportedly found the teen sitting there. 'Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, 'We have it all on tape'.

A third party had to separate the two men and shortly after police were called.

Beverly Hills Police officers arrived on the scene but West and his fiancée had already left, the BHPD confirmed on Monday.

However, the 18-year-old said he wanted to press charges.

'Kanye was named as a suspect by the victim as well as witnesses. He had left prior to our arrival, and detectives are currently investigating,' Beverly Hills Police Sgt. George DeMarois told the New York Daily News.

'The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses,' police said according to a Beverly Hills Police Department statement.

The BHPD are now conducting a follow-up investigation in regards to misdemeanor battery charges.

Representatives for West have not responded to a request for comment, while a rep for Kardashian had no comment about the incident.

However, a witness who spoke to E! Online told a slightly different story that did not include a physical altercation.

'Kim and Kanye were meeting for an appointment today,' a source on Monday told E! Online.

'Kim arrived later than Kanye. En route into the building Kim saw a young man yelling racial slurs at the paparazzi.

'Kim told him he shouldn't use racial slurs and he turned on her and verbally assaulted her,' said a source who witnessed the event to E! Online.

The source backed up the claim that the young man began to verbally abuse Kardashian telling her to 'shut the f**k up' and that they then continued their conversation inside an office building.

'The two ended up in a stairwell where the man was in her face and continued to verbally assault her,' the insider added. 'She was genuinely scared.'

It was then that Kardashian took a phone call from her fiancé.

'Kanye called her phone and she answered and the man continued yelling at her,' the source told E! Online. 'Kanye overheard and came running down...he confronted the guy.'

'The guy continued with the slurs,' the source said. 'He was in Kanye's face and wouldn't stop. He was taunting him. Police were called to the scene.'

Neighbors put dog Feces on elderly Asian man`s porch for months, Elderly man puts bullets in neighbors

 A 76-year-old Dallas, Texas man was convicted of capital murder in the shooting deaths of his neighbors last year because of a months-long feud about their dog's feces on his porch.

A jury found that Chung Kim fatally shot his neighbor Michelle Jackson, 31, on February 4, as she stood on her balcony above his apartment. Kim then went upstairs to her residence and shot and killed her boyfriend, Jamie Stafford, 31.

The couple's dog would relieve itself on their balcony, causing the urine and feces to drip down Kim's balcony each time they washed it, according to court records.

Kim claimed the couple had 'intentionally thrown dog feces' on his porch.

'That’s all come down from my patio, from up patio. But now, three months later so stink,' he told CBS from jail.

He also said that the shooting of Stafford was in self-defense but that he could not remember shooting Jackson because he suffered a blackout.

Kim faces an automatic life sentence in prison without parole.

Chung Kim says he shot Stafford out of self-defense 

Just months before their death, Jackson and Stafford had their first child together. Jackson also had four children aged 7 to 11 from a previous partner.

The baby now lives with Jackson's parents and the four children live with their father in Garland, Texas.

The Dallas News reports that Kim, with the help of an interpreter, begged district Judge Balido for a new trial and entirely new lawyers.

Judge Balido told Kim that she would appoint Kim a court-appointed attorney for appeals if convicted.

He said he wanted to share his side of the story and claims that he was terrorized by his neighbors.

Kim's defense attorney spoke on his behalf. 'They specifically came down and dumped it on his shoes and on the door,' defense attorney Kobby Warren said.

CBS interviewed Kim who shared his account of the event. He says it was his neighbor who pulled a gun on him and that he shot in self-defense.

He claims he used martial arts to wrestle the gun out of Stafford's hands.

'Before he pull trigger, I got him!' Kim told CBS from his jail cell.

'I hit him in his gun. And pushed his arm. And, I take his gun. And with my elbow knock him down,' he continued.

He says the woman was not killed out of self-defense and claims he doesn't remember shooting her.

'I saw him. I don’t remember. At this time, My brain is gone. After this, I don’t know,' he said.

'I call, "Hey stop. Stop. And he go up. He say wait." And, he come back. Threw gun onto my head,' Kim said.

The police affidavit describes a different account of the event. It says, around 8 o’clock Monday morning, Chung Kim shot Michelle Jackson while she was standing on her balcony.

Defense attorney Koby Warren asked the jury to consider a lesser murder charge.

The prosecution argued that revenge is not an acceptable impetus for murder.

'This isn’t an eviction proceeding. If that was the case, the defense would win,' prosecutor Herschel Woods said. 'There could have been time for cool reflection.'

'Because you were angry doesn’t mean you can exact a terrible punishment on someone,' he concluded.

Jackson's mother, Yvonne Hypolite, read a statement after the judge read the verdict.

'The smallest baby will never know her mother,' Hypolite said. 'I don’t understand, Kim, why you killed my daughter.' 

'I’m really glad he got sentenced, but it still can’t bring my daughter back,' said Hypolite.

Jay-Z Details Pre-"Magna Carta Holy Grail" Timbaland Fallout

Jay-Z speaks on Timbaland's past inability to "put ego aside" while the pair worked on "The Blueprint 3."

For years, Virginia producer Timbaland and Brooklyn emcee Jay-Z worked together to craft numerous records that would later be featured on Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter, The Black Album, and more. And with Tim’s extensive work on the newly-released Magna Carta Holy Grail, it came as a surprise to many when it was revealed that the two artists had previously parted ways musically.

At the top of the month, Timbaland revealed the news and credited his past falling out with the Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper to “disagreements” and “petty stuff.” And during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, Jay-Z shared his thoughts on the pairs past indifferences.

According to Jay-Z, his issues with Timbaland arose shortly after The Blueprint 3 was released and were primarily due to Tim’s demeanor.

“He was still on Blueprint 3, but the fallout happened at the end of that album. It really happened—the way the album happened and a couple of songs was getting leaked, that was his songs. And it was like that whole thing was just like it just ruined the whole process,” Jay-Z revealed. “I wanted him and Kanye to produce, and Kanye who was the executive producer of Blueprint was like ‘Yo, let’s get Tim. Let’s bring Tim in.’ We were all inviting of him and he just wasn’t accepting of the process. And it seemed like it was more about him than the actual album.”

Jay-Z says the producer did reemerge following their fallout and returned with a more mature outlook, one that helped in easing any past tensions.

Timbaland later went on to produce a majority of the songs featured on Magna Carta Holy Grailincluding “La Familia” and the Justin Timberlake-assisted “Holy Grail.”

“When you go in and make an album there’s not—you have to put all ego aside,” said Jay-Z. “I’m putting ego aside. Everyone has to put ego aside for the sake of the project. And he was accepting of that. That was almost like the last straw type of thing. We just went our separate ways. After those concerts he came back, I saw the new Timbaland. He had this maturity and this growth and I was like, ‘Oh okay. This is gonna work out.’”
